Presentation of Albendea

The municipality of Albendea (133 inhabitants in 2021 vs. 609 in 1950; 3,820 ha) is located 60 km north-west of Cuenca.

Symbols of Albendea

The flag and arms of Albendea, adopted on 9 December 2O22 by the Municipal Council, are prescribed by Order No. 47 issued on 22 February 2022 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 1 March 2022 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 41, p. 7,259 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, 2:3 in width by length, diagonally divided into two equal parts from the hoist's upper angle to the fly's lower one. The lower triangle crimson red and the upper one white. In the panel's center the municipal coat of arms, in height 2/3 of the flag's width.
Coat of arms: Argent a chapel proper surmounted by two spikes proper in saltire The base wavy azure and argent. The shield surmounted by a Spanish Royal crown.
