The municipality of Fuentecén (252 inhabitants in 2009; 1,705 ha) is located 110 km of Burgos.

Symbols of Fuentecén

The flag and arms of Fuentecén are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 27 December 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed the same day by the Mayor, and published on 9 January 2002 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 6, p. 411 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, bicolor. The upper part blue and the lower part yellow, of equal size. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Or a tree (elm) vert eradicated, 2. Azure a fountain [fuente] argent, the upper part circular masoned sable. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
