Dünwald Coat of Arms

Abased parted per chevron; above parted per pale, at dexter Azure a crozier's head Argent with a fleur-de-lis of the same in its centre, at sinister Gules two fish hooks addorsed; beneath Argent a 6-spokes wheel Gules.
Meaning:
The crozier is referring to the Reifenstein Monastery in the municipality, the small fleur-de-lys is an attribute of St. Mary, the patron saint of the monastery. The two hooks refer to the Von Hagen kin, who had some possessions in the municipality. The wheel in base is representing the Eichsfeld Region and the Archbishopric of Mainz as well, to which the area historically belonged.
