Trausnitz Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, on top of a triplemount Sable an embattled tower Argent, on chief an impending royal coronet Or.
Meaning:
The tower is taken from the arms of the Lords of Waldthurn. It is also representing Trausnitz Castle, where King Friedrich the Fair from the Habsburg kin had been taken into custody from 1322 until 1325, after he had been defeated by Ludwig the Bavarian in the battle of Mühldorf in 1322. The royal coronet is also referring to the German king. The triplemount is symbolising the location in the hills alongside the Pfreimd River.
