It is a black-yellow vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is in a white bannerhead and flanked by black inscriptions "Stadt" (above) and "Burglengenfeld" (below).

Burglengenfeld Coat of Arms

Shield lozengy of Argent and Azure charged with a triplemount issuant Vert; on dexter peak a round tower Argent with cone roof Gules, on sinister peak a deciduous tree Vert; chief Sable a lion´s head caboshed Or, crowned and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The first seal, in use after 1426, just displayed tower and tree on a triplemount. In the end of the 15th century the lozenges were added and the shield was supported by St. George with the dragon. Chief and lion were added in 1542 on occasion of the grant of city rights. Lozenges and Palatine lion are stressing the rule of the Wittelsbach kin. The colours of the banner are those of the Palatinate.

The arms were granted in by Palatine Count Otheinrich of Pfalz-Neuburg and Palatine Count Philipp of Pfalz-Neuburg in 1542.
