Ascha Coat of Arms

Shield Argent chapé Sable, issuant from base a triplempount Vert charged with three ash leaves Argent in fan, issuant from the mount´s central peak a fir Vert, superimposed by a plough Sable.
The arms are based on the family arms of the Barons of Weichs, having been Argent chapé Sable. The barons had been manorial lords and also held the local cognisance between 1607 and 1796. The fir is symbolising the location in the Bavarian Forest. Together with the plough it is referring to forest clearance in the Medieval. The plough is also symbolising the rural character and is referring to the city of Straubing. The city arms displayed a white plough. The ash leaves are canting, as the name of the municipality is referring to ash trees.
