Georgensgmünd Coat of Arms

Shield Argent parted per pall reversed wavy Azure, at dexter a cross Gules, at sinister two connected umbels of hops Vert in pale.
Meaning:
The red cross and the blue pall wavy are canting elements, the former is the attribute of St. George, the local patron saint, and the latter is symbolising the confluence (local language: Gmünd) of the Franconian and the Swabian Rezat, which merge in the village and are then called Remnitz. The umbels are symbolising the cultivation of hops.
