Osterzell Coat of Arms

Baroque shield Gules an attire Argent, surrounding a beech leaf Argent in centre.
Meaning:
The arms of the Lords of Kaltental displayed the attire. TheLordship of Osterzell had been part of the Lordship of Kemnat, which was acquired by Jakob of Kaltental in 1535. In 1699 the lordship was acquired by Rottenbuch Monastery, until it was secularised in 1803. The leaf is taken from the arms of the monastery.

The arms were approved on 24 February 1950 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
