Coat of arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (= white) shield the sinister side is divided by a blue pale. The dexter side shows a red tower with a stepped gable and windows in Romanic style (round tops).
Meaning:
The tower is part of a mansion erected by the Flotow family, landowner from 1384 until 1945. The blue pale is symbolizing riches of water.

Flag and coat of arms were approved by minister of interior of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania on 27 June 1995, published in the roll of arms of Mecklenburg-Westpomerania as no. 0061, the coat of arms already on 10 July 1992.
