Oberreute Banner

The banner is parted by an embowed bend sinister. Above right it is light blue with a stylised dark blue "O", a smaller inscription of the same "ObeR" (light blue) "Reute" (light green), the "O" half surrounded by yellow rays, and a white serifed inscription "Ganz nah" (1st line) "am Paradies" (2nd line) (English: very near to paradise). Beneath left at the bottom is the coat of arms (directions due to heraldic order).

Oberreute Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield Gules, issuant from base a triplemount Argent, in chief an axe Argent and a spade Argent, both hafted Or.
Meaning:
Reute is a local term for forest clearance, represented in the arms by the tools. The triplemount is symbolising the location on the highest point of the county. Due to its location Oberreute has become a climatic spa. The tinctures red and silver are those of the Lords of Weiler, to which the village belonged in the 16th century.

The arms were approved on 7 April 1955 probably by Minister of Interior of Württemberg-Hohenzollern, as the county was overhanded to Bayern later on 1 September 1955.
