Trebgast Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above a demi-eagle issuant Gules, armed and tongued Or with cloverstems Or upon his wings; beneath Gules an embattled wall Argent masoned Sable with port Gules, charged with a scabbler and a beater in saltire, both Or.
Meaning:
The eagle is a differentiation of the arms of the Margraves of Brandenburg, here of their Bayreuth branch. The margraves ruled the area since the 14th century. The tools are alluding to the local stonemasonry, especially the working on arenite. The wall is alluding to the local fortified parish church, the landmark of the municipality.
