Langquaid Coat of Arms

Shield Or the half length portrait of a bearded saint Argent with coat Azure and hat Sable, brim and coat charged with scallops Argent.
Meaning:
The pattern is known from the frgment of a local seal from 1494. The saint was denoted as St. Roch of Montpellier for a long time. St. James the Elder however had not only been the local patron saint but also his image has fitting attributes as hat and scallop and thus Otto Hupp confirmed that it must have been St. James. The tinctures are known by a deed of Duke Albrecht IV of Bayern.
