Kötz Coat of Arms

Shield Or a swan Gules, chief Gules two crab apples Argent stemmed Vert in fess.
Meaning:
The swan is taken from the arms of the Ehinger family, patricians from Ulm, who ruled Großkötz from 1408 until the middle of the 18th century. The rule over Kleinkötz was divided since 1492. One half wa also acquired by the Ehinger family between 1545 and 1627, when it was acquired by the Bishopric of Augsburg. The crab apples (German: Holzäpfel) had been the heraldic symbol of the Holzapfel family, patricians from Augsburg. They gained the other part of Kleinkötz as a fiefdom of the bishopric in 1638.
