Hetzles Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a crozier Argent in bend sinister, flanked by a triplet of connected cherries Argent above right and an ammonite of the same beneath left, base parted per pale of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
The base displays the tinctures from the arms of the Lords of Breitenstein, who lived in Hetzles since the 14th century. The crozier is reminding on Archbishop Michael of Deinlein of Bamberg, who was born in Hetzles in 1800. The cherries are alluding to the local cultivation of cherry trees. The ammonite is alluding to the location in the Northern Jura and to the many excavations of ammonites in the area.
