Description

Green, white, blue. Adopted 24.04.1968. Incorporated into Aichach-Friedberg county. Sources: Linder and Schmidt 2000, arms image from Stadler 1964-1972.

Stefan Schwoon, 9 July 2001

From Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Arms website:

The arms were granted in 1966. The upper part is derived from the arms of Bavaria, which in turn are the arms of the Wittelsbach family. The Wittelsbach family castle is situated in the county. The oak leaf is canting [German Eiche meaning oak] and also derived from the arms of the town of Aichach.

Literature: Stadler 1964-1972.
