It is a blue-yellow-red vertical tricolour with arms shifted to top (see left image above) or without arms (see right image above).

Bitburg Coat of Arms

Shield Gules an embattled open gate Or on basement of the same on either side flanked by a cross patty fitchy Or under a 5-point star of the same.
Meaning:
Bitburg had been the main settlement of the Bit Shire and gained city rights officially n 1262 but was called a city even earlier. The existence of local seals is proven since 1248. All displayed the current pattern, which was considered to be either a canting castle (German: Burg) or a tower. Crosses and stars were added later. The circumscriptions refer to a provostry of the Princes of Luxemburg, former rulers until 1443.
