Weilen unter den Rinnen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a fess Argent, charged with an 8-point star Gules between initials "V" and "R", both Gules.
Meaning:
There exist coloured prints from a local seal, probably from around 1830, already displaying the white fess in red. These pattern is alluding to Austria, which ruled the village from 1381 until 1805. The initials are not recognisable, but it is understood that the seal had the same pattern as a sculpture of the arms on the façade of the municipal hall. "V" probably stands for "W" due to old spelling for "Weilen". These arms probably existed since the 18th century, when "unter den Rennen", later "Rinnen", had been added. The star is a mere decoration.
