Dautmergen Coat of Arms

Shield twice parted per fess of Argent, Gules and Or, the Or partition is charged with a lion passant Sable. According to the local administration the shield has an embowed triangular shape.
Meaning:
White and red are the colours of the family arms of the Counts of Hohenberg, former rulers of Dautmergen. Since 1381 the county belonged to Austria and since 1805 the region became a part of Württemberg. The lion passant and the yellow colour are alluding to Württemberg.

The arms were approved on 11 January 1949 by Minister of Interior of Württemberg-Hohenzollern. The banner was approved on 7 December 1987 by the county administration, published in GABl 689/1988.
