Schlüsselfeld Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a key Argent in bend sinister, flanked in dexter chief and sinister base by a 6-point star Or.
Meaning:
There is a print of a local seal from 1569, which is however mentioned already in 1456. It displayed the key alone, which was taken from the arms of the Schlüsselfeld kin, which had been in service of the Bishopric of Bamberg. The stars, only decorating elements appeared on seals from the 16th century and their existence is proven since the 15th century on an architectural sculpture on the tower of the local parish church.

The arms in the current tinctures are in use since 1819. A red-white, probably plain, bicolour was adopted in 1953.
