iLembe District Municipality flag

The flag of iLembe has a white field with the district emblem, showing a representation of King Shaka, in the centre.  The name of the municipality is found in an arch in English above, and in Zulu below, the emblem.

Shaka kaSenzangakhona (1787 1828), also known as Shaka Zulu and Sigidi kaSenzangakhona, was the founder of the Zulu Kingdom from 1816 to 1828.
