The new flag was most likely adopted in 2019 when a new city logo was adopted as well, which the flag features on a white field.

The previous flag was used until the adoption of the new flag. It is white with the city name in an old english font. It's colored purple and boasts a red shadow copy on the flag's field. Above the name is a black star with two red wavy lines on either side. Below the city name is a depiction of a small city, showing features like a water tower, a church, and main street shops.

The logo

The logo shows the silhouette of the city on a sunrise. Above the city is a outline of Texas, with a star locating Shiner in the state. At the bottom of the logo is a crescent moon which separates the incorporation year.
