Description of the Flag

The flag of this city is a green diagonal cross with the city seal in the centre (based probably on the state flag). It can be seen at photos at http://www.hollywoodfl.org/city_commission/mayor.htm. The seal has a yellow ring, with the words CITY OF HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA around the top and INCORPORATED 1925 at the bottom. The lower half of the inside of the ring is lined with two curved palm trees. Inside the ring is a pale blue field bearing a green map of the state of Florida, and a cut diamond locating Hollywood, and the motto "DIAMOND OF THE GOLD COAST".
