Description

Tonka is an American toy vehicle manufacturer, headquartered in Mound, Minnesota. Originally established in 1946 as Mound Metalcraft making garden tools, the company began making toy cars and trucks as a sideline operation. The toys became the primary business shortly thereafter and the company adopted a new logo using the Dakota Sioux word "tanka," meaning "big." In 1955, the company changed its name to Tonka Toys. The company was purchased by Hasbro in 1991, and the Tonka line of toys are now produced under license by Funrise Toys. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonka)

The flag of Tonka can be seen most prominently at motorsports events, for many of which the brand is an associate sponsor. At a Lucas Oil Late Model Series event in 2018, the Tonka flag was seen flying alongside the Lucas Oil flag in Victory Lane after the race. The flag features the corporate logo in black centered on a yellow field. The logo is the name "Tonka" in black, italicized letters, with the top of the uppercase "T" extending above the other letters to connect with the top of the lowercase "k."
