Takhtamukayskiy rayon was created in 1924 in then Adygeyskaya (Cherkesskaya)
Autonomous Oblast in then South East Oblast. Takhtamukayskiy Rayon has 2 Urban Settlements and 5 Rural Settlements. Enemskoe and Yablonovskoe Urban Settlements and Afipsipskoe, Kozetskoe, Starobzhegokayskoe, Takhtamukayskoe, and Shendzhiyskoe Rural Settlements. Enemskoe has coat of arms and flag, and Yablonovskoe and Afipsipskoe have project symbols. All other subdivisions are without any known symbols.

There is no flag for this rayon, just a (quasi) coat of arms. Description: The emblem depicts the flags of Russia and Adygea, the national Adyghe ornament, as well as symbols of the main industries of the region and a symbol in the form of two fighters.
