Rusiec commune flag

Rusiec - rural commune, Bełchatów County, Łódzkie Voivodship - former name: Dąbrowa Rusiecka.
Arms adopted by the resolution of the Commune Council # III/18/90 on June 29, 1990.
Flag adopted on October 27, 2006 (Resolution # XXXVI/297/2006).

Arms: On the blue shield there is a red wall with open gate.
Above it is a silver horseshoe with a golden, cavalier's cross on top.

Flag: Three vertical bands - outside ones are red, the middle one is white and double the width of the red ones, and on which one the Arms are placed."
Both, the Arms and flag, were designed by the local artist, Dr.Jan Trojan.

The wall symbolizes the city rights Rusiec once possessed. Over it is a Coat of Arms of clan Pobóg-Koniecpolski, owners of the area in the XV-XVII centuries period.
The info above comes from Mr.Andrzej Kupski of Lodz, Poland.
