Dodewaard [former] municipality

From 1811 till 2002 Dodewaard was an autonomous municipality with the hamlets Hien and Wely. In 1811 Opheusden also belonged to Dodewaard (later to Kesteren). On 1 Jan 2002 Dodewaard merged with the municipalities of Kesteren and Echteld, to form the new municipality of Kesteren. That was renamed on 1 Apr 2003 to the municipality of Neder-Betuwe.

Granted 1 Mar 1924
