Located in Chiyoda City Tokyo and established in 1920. The embroidered ceremonial flag has blue background with a gold emblem and vertically written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. Designed and created in 1947. The university flag is blue, orange, and blue vertical three stripes with a blue H with a white outline in the center, and the white Chinese character university name at the bottom of the hoist. The blue represents the blue sky and the orange represents the sun at dawn. The university emblem was adopted in 1930 and was created by Professor Shizutaro Yamazaki. The emblem is a turtle-shaped design of the two kanji letters of "大學", which represents the long tradition and eternal truth.
