Description of the flag

The flag of Dhi Qar is white with the logo centered upon it, and placed diagonally.

Logo

The logo is shaped as a triangle and contains Akkadian text, referencing the ancient city of Ur. Going to the side is the Iraqi national flag. In the center, a palm tree recognizes the date palm industry which the region is known for. Its stem is shaped like a fountain pen, possibly referencing the numerous literary writings about Dhi Qar, especially relating to the Battle of Dhi Qar. To the sides of its point is its name in Arabic.
