The steamship company Vesna was established in 1921 in Dubrovnik by the Maritime Bank, with the intention to maintain transatlantic tourist lines. First they rented the Garibaldi then, in 1927, they obtained the first Yugoslav transatlantic ship Beograd, followed soon by the similar ship Zagreb. However, the two ships were never used and the company was dissolved.
