The symbols of Cestica (municipal website) were approved by the Ministry of Administration in 1997.
The municipality announced a public competition for the design of the symbols, with prize set to 2000 HRK and a 14 days deadline (Varaždinske vijesti, 19 July 1995).
The flag of Cestica is in proportions 1:2, light blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms of Cestica (image) is "Azure a vine tree proper fructed or winding around a Latin cross argent issuant from a triple mount vert".
The coat of arms represents and explains the struggle of the inhabitants for spiritual and material goods; it talks about the soil configuration and agricultural production of the inhabitants, on the wine-growing tradition of the region. The cross, as the symbol of Christianity, tells about the people of the region as godfearing people and faithful Christians, members of the Catolic church. The graphical design of the coat of arms was made by Krunoslav Čolo, who stated in his description that the people of the region are "good husbandmen but opened and hospitable toward every man with honest and fair intentions" (Varaždinske vijesti, 30 July 1997).
