Flag of Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin

The flag of Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin (photo, photo) is white with the municipal arms, "Barry or and gules", surmounted by a red cartouche with the name of the municipality in yellow letters.

The arms were assigned by Th. Leuridan (Armorial des communes du département du Nord, 1909). These are the arms of the family of Harchies, who inherited the domain in the 16th century. They are featured in the Armorial Général for Louis-Joseph de Harchies de Ville (1650-1697), Count of Hallennes, Erquinghem-le-Sec and Sweveghem, Baron de Milloniez, lord of Vieux-Berquin, Plessis, etc. (image. The very same arms were assigned by Leuridan to the municipality of Vieux-Berquin.
