Terre Fraternité (Land Fraternity; website) is an association registered on 4 June 2005 to support soldiers of the Land Force (Armée de terre) injured in action and their families, as well as families of soldiers killed in action.
The establishment of the association was pushed by General of Army Bernard Thorette, Chief of Staff of the Land Forces (2000-2006), in the aftermath of the air raid perpetrated on 6 November 2004 against the French detachment of Bouaké (Côte d'Ivoire), during which 9 soldiers were killed and another 38 injured.
