House flag of La Flecha

The house flag of La Flecha [Bilbao, (G.H. Fletcher & Co., Liverpool), the Fletcher connection indicating management services], as shown in Lloyd's book of house flags and funnels of the principal steamship lines of the world and the house flags of various lines of sailing vessels [llo12], published at Lloyd's Royal Exchange. London. E.C. (1912, online version), is horizontally divided blue-red-blue-red-blue-red with the chite letters "CLF' spreading over the two central stripes.
The flag is shown on "a service plate 'liberated' by a U.S. sailor on board the USS New York on April 22, 1898. The plate was taken as a souvenir from the vessel Pedro, which was the first ship captured while attempting to run the Cuban Blockade which went into effect on that date" (photo).
