The municipality of Megeces (465 inhabitants in 2010; 1,926 ha) is located in the southeast of Valladolid Province, 30 km from Valladolid.

Symbols of Megeces

The flag and arms of Megeces, adopted on 24 June 1988 by the Municipal Council and validated by the Royal Academy of History, are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 27 November 1990 by the Government of Castile and León and published on 7 December 1990 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 236 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: With proportions 2:3, yellow. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms, in full colors.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Argent in chief sinister a spike fimbriated vert in base dexter a [missing words] eradicated, 2. Two wolves sable mouthed gules per pale, a bordure gules eight saltires or. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
