The municipality of Villamuelas (620 inhabitants in 2018; 4,300 ha) is located 40 km east of Toledo and 40 km south-west of Ocaña.

Symbols of Villamuelas

The flag (photo) and arms of Villamuelas are prescribed by an Order issued on 5 December 1991 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 13 December 1991 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 94, pp. 4,352-4,353 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: A rectangular, twice longer than wide, quartered. First and fourth, white with a millstone vert in the center, Second and third, vert with a castle or masoned and port and windows sable.
Coat of arms: Spanish shield. Per fess, 1. Argent three millstones [muelas] vert in fess, 2. Vert a castle or masoned and port and windows sable. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
