The coat of arms of Mogán is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 17 May 1993 by the Government of the Canary Islands and published on 9 June 1993 in the official gazette of the Canary Islands, No. 74, p. 3,304 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Quartered per saltire, 1. Gules a sun or, 2. Argent a castle proper, 3. Vert a chapel or church argent, 4. A fish argent on waves of the same over a sea sable. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.

On the sticker edited by the municipality, the dexter quarter shows a yellow castle on a blue field, the sinister quarter shows a gray chapel on a very light green field, which looks somehow yellow. The field of the lower quarter is Navy blue. Beneath the shield is a white ribbon inscribed with the name of the municipality in black capital letters.

The sun symbolizes tourism and the economic efforts of the municipality.
The castle symbolizes the fortified mills erected in the villages of Cuevas Caldas and El Donque.
The chapel symbolizes the local parish church.
The fish symbolizes fishery and the beautiful village of Puerto Mogan.

According to José Manuel Erbez (Banderas y escudos de Canarias, 2007; website), an alleged flag of Mogán was reported in the bulletin of the Spanish Vexillological Association, without providing reference.
The flag is horizontally divided green-white-yellow horizontal, with the coat of arms, without scroll and with different quarter colours, in the centre of the flag, exceeding the white stripe. The colours of the quarters are: white (hoist), red (top), dark blue (bottom) and green (fly).
