Flag of Escurial

The flag and arms of Escurial, adopted on 27 July 1990 and 12 April 1996 by the Municipal Council and validated on 4 June 1991 and 9 July 1996 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 17 June 1996 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 1 August 1996 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 89, pp. 4,075-4,076 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Quadrangular, green with a white saltire and the municipal coat of arms in full colors in the center.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Or a holly oak eradicated proper a bordire sable, 2. Gule a wall or surrounded by two towers masoned sable. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
