Elbe, a German shipping company, sold in 1989 to Federal Express (see Alvracht, the Netherlands). Full name: Schiffahrts- und Speditions Kontor Elbe, Hamburg. The firm was founded 15 June 1921 as Deutsch-Holländisches Schiffahrtskontor GmbH., and got its new name in April 1922. It was a large company with tankcoasters, push-boats and inlandtankers, just like Alvracht.
The Elbe flag is blue, bordered brightblue; in center white diamond with outlined blue diamond, red "ELBE".

Another variant (see right image above) is dark blue with very wide medium blue border with the logo touching it.
The lettering set in a much more dense and narrow typeface and the rhombus orled in uniform thickness.

The company was located in Hamburg and a subsidiary of Schiffahrts-und Sped.Kontor Elbe.In the 1950ies it owned two tankers transporting edible oil.
It was a blue flag, cotised red and white. In its centre was a white lozenge containing black capitals "DTR".
