The white flag has blue horizontal stripes at the top- and bottom edge and a black one in the middle. Shifted to the hoist and superimposing the black stripe is the logo. The logo is a hexagon formed by three white rhombs, four black isosceles triangles and two white trapeziums.

The right (visible) side shows two black crossed keys held by a naked hand coming out of a black sleeve. Thiese are the elements of the coat of arms of the city of Cochem however in different tinctures. In the lower fly is an inscription in Gothic font "Cochemer R-G".
