Introduction

Name: Ruder-Club Neumünster e.V.
Located in: Neumünster (Schleswig-Holstein)

The club was established on 30 November 1909 as Ruderverein Neumünster. After the end of WW1 the club acquired the boat house of the Schleswig-Holstein Regattaverein, and the rowers from Kiel withdrew. It should be a home for all kinds of water sports, and the club was renamed to Wassersport-Verein Neumünster on 24 May 1919. After WW2 only rowers remained in the boathouse. As a result the club was again renamed in 1950 and has since then the current name.
