Erkheim Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a house Argent with port and windows Sable, roofs Gules and turrets of the same at either corner and on the roof ridge.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a seal approved in 1875. It already displayed that house, a representation of the little castle of the Benedictine Ottobeuren Imperial Abbey, which had been right in the middle of the town. An image of the castle can be seen on paintings from 1690. The town had a proper coat of arms soon after the approval of the seal.
