Wehingen Municipal Coat of Arms

Shield Azure an abased fess dancetty Argent, in chief a wing Argent charged with a fess dancetty Azure.
Meaning:
Since 1930 the municipal arms had been the family arms of thr Lords of Wehingen, displaying a white fess dancetty in a blue shield. The eagle's wing had been the crest of their arms and was suggested in 1961 by the Stae Archive, in order to distinguish the arms from the identical arms of Meßstetten-Tieringen. The Wehingen kin ruled the village since 1215. It died out in the 16th century. The local castle was sold to Austria in 1315 and was regained for a short time at the end of the 15th century as an Austrian fiefdom.
