Rattiszell Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter parted per bend of Argent and Azure, at sinister Gules a ram rampant Argent with horns Or.
The dexter half displays the arms of the Eycher kin and had also been part of the municipal arms of the former municipality of Haunkenzell. Chunrad Eycher ruled the Haunkenzell district (Bavarian: Hofmark) until 1410. He was first mentioned in 1361. The tinctures are also referring to the Counts of Bogen, who populated the area by forest clearance. The ram is a canting element, taken from the arms of the Lords of Ramsperg. Hilprant of Ramsperg is considered to be the builder of Rattiszell Manor around 1330. His tombstone from 1362 displays the arms and can be seen in the cemetary chapel of the manor.
