Soyen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent two keys Gules in saltire, at sinister Gules a bend Argent.
Meaning:
The keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint of the parish church of Rieden and with St. Paul co patron saint of the parish church of Soyen. The silver bend in a red shield displays the arms of the Bishopric of Regensburg, to which the Hohenburg district (German: Amt) historically belonged. The current municipality is more or less congruent with the district, which existed until 1803, when the bishopric was secularised.
