Malching Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, issuant from a stake dam Or issuant from base a sinister facing demi-liom rampant double queued Or holding a crozier Argent in pale by his forepaws.
Meaning:
The crozier is referring to the Chapter of Freising, which owned the Malching district (Bavarian: Hofmark) since the 14th century. The district was sold to the Counts of Baumgarten in 1734. Lion and dam had been their family arms.
