Schuttertal Coat of Arms

Shield Or a fess Gules, over all a crozier in pale in counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
The red fess in a golden shield displays the arms of the Lords of Geroldseck and the Lordship of Hohengeroldseck. The crozier is representing the Archbishopric of Straßburg and Ettenheimmünster Abbey, to which the villages of Dörlinbach and Schweighausen belonged. The Lords of Geroldseck also had been the reeves of the abbey. The archbishops had been local rulers of the two villages from 1634 until 1803.
