Windischeschenbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a fess wavy Argent charged with a fish Azure, in chief two 6-point stars Or in fess, in base a 6-point star Or.
Meaning:
The existence of the current pattern is proven by seal prints since 1784. The first coloured paintings of the arms were made in the early 19th century. The stars originally had five points and were probably representing the County of Störnstein. Creek (German: Bach), represented by the fess wavy, and fish (Bavarian: Äsche) are canting. Windischeschenbach had been a market town at least since 1553 and was upgraded to a city in 1952.
