Ehekirchen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules three lozenges Argent in fess flanked by a coronet Or in chief and a palm frond Or in base.
Meaning:
Palm frond and coronet are attributes of St. Stephen, the local patron saint. The parish existed since the 11th century. The lozenges are taken from the family arms of Abbess Maria Helena of Lerchenfeld of the Kühbach Nunnery. Since the 11th century there had been close relationships between the village and the Benedictine nunnery, which until 1803 had been the manorial lord, furthermore it owned the rights of patronage and of tax receipts.
