Shield quartered, 2nd and 3rd quarters Sable; 1st quarter Argent a cross patty Sable surmounted by a cross potent Argent and four fleur de lis Or; 4th quarter Argent charged with a facetted cross patty fourche Gules.
Meaning:
A local seal from 1835 displayed the quartered shield of the Zollern kin between two churches with one tower each, a painting displays a linden between the churches. The circumscriptions had been SIGILLUM ERGERSHEIM or LANDGEMEINDE ERGERSHEIM. These arms had been forgotten. The current arms also display the quartered shield, referring to the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach. The crosses display the arms of the Teutonic Order (1st quarter) and the Order of St. John (4th quarter), both had been important manorial lords in the past.
