Hurlach Coat of Arms

Shield lozengy of Argent and Gules with chief Sable.
The municipal arms are the family arms of the Hurlach kin, also known as Hurnloh kin, who owned estates in the village in the 12th century and died out after 1350. Its members had been commissionaires of the Bishopric of Augsburg and among others chamberlains of the city of Augsburg until the 14th century. The classic pattern of the arms is known from rolls of arms from the 16th century.
